Hello, my name is Ashley Carter and I have always had a passion for working with animals.  I started riding horses at a young age and fell in love.  My 1st job was milking cows on a small dairy farm but quickly learned i wanted to work with something smaller.  I worked through high school at a doggie daycare outside of Syracuse and absolutely loved my job.  In September of 2015, I married my best friend, a US Soldier and we were off to Fort Drum.  Shortly after being here I joined the team at Best Friends as a daycare attendant and couldn’t be happier.  I have two fur babies at home named Bailey and Jamison.  They’re my pride and joy.

My name is Ashley Copestick and I have been at Best Friends for 4 years.  I started as a volunteer, originally as a bather, and I was eventually trained as a groomer.  I competed in a “Rescue Roundup” at the expo in PA, where I got to make a rescue dog cute for adoption.  It was very rewarding and strengthened my love for grooming.  I am the proud mom of my sweet little baby Aiden.  I am also the mom of 3 fur babies.  I rescued my Shitzu, Chumlee, when he was 3 months old.  I adopted my Shitzu mix, Maggie, when she was 7 years old.  Lastly, i have my cat Izzy that i have had since she was a kitten.
